Castle Arch Hotel - Trim

Amazing location near to public transport, the amazing sites, and restaurants and pubs, early check-in. Also, close to everything in Trim.

Unattractive area.

i only slept there as i was at a wedding in another hotel close by but i was nicely greeted at reception on checking in and found the hotel suited my needs perfectly and for a reasonable price.

only that the wedding wasn't there so no late night callers to the room : (

great staff, good size room and great breakfast. Jerry the night porter very friendly and helpful.

The staff at the hotel were so helpful and the room was so comfortable.

i enjoyed my stay, but i thought i had booked a delux room at the same price as a doule on the day thru booking .com

a lot of noisy drunk people late at night, woke us up both nights,thats not the hotels fault.Enjoyed it otherwise

Good location, nice facility, free parking, very good breakfast included, all at a very reasonable price.

We had our wedding there in March 2011. Great service, great staff, lovely hotel, very good value for money. We got a great all inclusive deal for a civil wedding ceremony. The food at the reception (as it was the other times we visited) was fantastic. I am terribly particular/ fussy about food (by any standards) and I can honestly say that, we, like all our guests, were completely blown away by the food and the attention to detail. Their wedding co-ordinator was an absolute angel, we cant praise her enough.

Noisy fan could be heard from a few rooms.

The staff were very helpful, the food in the restaurant was really nice and good value for money. Good location to the bars in the town ..would recommend to friends.

Desk personnel were extremely friendly and helpful, even making a phone call for me to be certain of the conditions at Newgrange

Nice, well located hotel, not huge or glamerous, but homely with a great breakfast. Nice rooms, inviting decor aqnd clean. Good bath and shower.

Disco on saturday night was noisy and the Police had to be called to remove some unwanted people. Noise lasted until 2.30am. It didnt bother us too much as we had been to a wedding and returnd at 1.30am anyway

The location was perfect for exploring the area. The outdoor dining area added to the charm, especially with some light music playing. The food in the on-site restaurant was fantastic, and being so close to Trim Castle.

The restaurant was very easy and had a good variety.

There was no tea or coffee making facilities which I would expect as standard.

the room was clean

this is a two star hotel at best. there were no ammenities, and I mean none-no shampoo, no shower cap , no gym no nothing! Only soap in your room. the rooms were ok, nothing special, and it is not in town.

Historical ambiance, quick service at the bar, outdoor seating availability

The outdated decor really detracts from the overall experience!!! Noise from adjacent rooms during the night. The inconsistent hot water was just unacceptable!!!

Breakfasts were very very good.

The hotel had indeed a marvellous and perfect location in excellent location close to everything in Trim. Moreover, it was near the lobby/bar/restaurant, Trim Castle and St Patrick's Church and the castle arch for the may Bank holiday weekend.
